Robert S. Vogel, AIA
Rob is the founder and leads the team at Renaissance Partners, a full service project management and development consulting firm. As a licensed architect, his career has evolved from working with Gensler and Walker Associates Architects to development manager on over 10.6 million square feet of commercial development.
Beginning late 1997, Renaissance Partners has provided comprehensive project management for a variety of clients concerning numerous building types throughout California. Services provided include full-service project and construction management, entitlement procurement / project approvals, feasibility analysis, constructability review, and overall project coordination.
Commencing in May of 1995, Rob led the design and construction team for the DreamWorks Animation Studio in Glendale, CA. The 13 acre site features 5 buildings totaling 355,000 SF in a campus setting with extensive landscaping and water features, incorporating cutting edge technology, redundancy, and 24/7 power generating capabilities for a portion of the facility.
Prior to DreamWorks, Rob was Director of Design and Construction for Catellus Development Co. for a $340 million, 628,000 SF headquarters complex for the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Intermodal Transit Plaza. This office development and regional mass-transit facility sited atop a 2600 car subterranean parking structure included a $5 million art program, integrated retail, child care center, and varied technologies for seismic resistance. The 600,000 SF Metropolitan Water District Headquarters was entitled, designed, and commenced construction during his tenure.
From 1986 to 1991, Rob was the Director of Design and Construction for Homart Development Co., Commercial / Mixed-Use and Project Developer for the Regional Shopping Center Group. Project oversight included over 3.5 million square feet of commercial office, mixed-use, and retail space throughout the western United States.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Science, Environmental Design, and Business / Finance degrees from Ball State University. He is member of the American Institute of Architects, Urban Land Institute, and The Trust for Historic Preservation.
Lori Mabery, ASID (Allied Member)
Lori serves the dual role of Director of Interior Construction and Office Manager for Renaissance Partners. Her background in commercial interior design and management provides a unique combination of business experience to assist in the successful management of projects for our clients.
Lori has participated in all aspects of the commercial interior process, from initial project programming through design, construction management and close-out. Completed projects include general office, financial institutions, medical, and hospitality facilities.
Fully proficient in computer-assisted design drawing systems, Lori provides in-house capabilities that are invaluable in completing our management duties on behalf of our clients. These are of particular assistance when we are asked to complete the interior build-out of a facility after managing the shell and core construction.
Beginning in 1987, Lori worked for Westfall Business Interiors as a designer and systems furniture coordinator, moving into a project management role. In 1991, she started her own commercial interior design and management practice, successfully completing numerous projects for a wide variety of clients prior to joining Renaissance Partners in 1997.
Lori is a graduate of UCLA and holds a degree in Interior and Environmental Design. She is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers and the Trust for Historic Preservation.
